We thank <a href=\"https:\/\/advansghana.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Advans Ghana<\/a> for its support to <strong>microfinance and women<\/strong>, and its commitment to inclusive finance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My name is Vicentia Nana Akua. I&#8217;m a business woman. I sell shoes, bags, clutches. I like fashion. As a woman, or a mother, you need to work. That&#8217;s why I started this business.<\/p>\n<p>What makes my shop special is that the thing that I&#8217;m selling here, no one has them. I do my design. So my own shop is special, different from everyone here.<\/p>\n<p>In the beginning, my husband is the one who gave me money to come and start. But as time goes on, he is doing his business. So now I have to do it on my own.<\/p>\n<p>One day my goods came from China and I had no money to go and claim the goods. So I went to Advans and asked them, and they gave me money to go pay my bills and then bring my goods to the market and sell them. That is how I got to know Advans people. It helped me a lot because, at that time I went there, I had one shop, and now I got like two or three, let me say three.<\/p>\n<p>As a woman, I&#8217;m proud of myself because it is not easy for a woman here to work like this. I want to grow fast, have more than ten shops.
