As part of its long-term commitment to financial inclusion, Advans Congo continues to strengthen its presence beyond Kinshasa, targeting economically vibrant regions that remain underserved by traditional financial institutions. As one of the MFIs in Africa contributing to microfinance, Advans aims to bring sustainable financial solutions closer to entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country.
As part of its ongoing commitment to financial inclusion in Africa, Advans Congo has strategically chosen to expand its presence beyond Kinshasa by establishing operations in high-potential economic zones that remain underserved by financial institutions. At the beginning of 2025, Advans Congo inaugurated two new branches, bringing its network to 11 locations. The Lubumbashi branch, with a team of 28 staff members, already serves 622 borrowing clients and had disbursed $6.3 million in microloans by the end of September. In Kolwezi, the branch employs 22 people and serves 454 borrowing clients, with a total loan disbursement of $4.6 million during the same period. These two cities are dynamic economic hubs experiencing diversification, supported by small businesses active in trade and services, key segments of entrepreneurship in Africa targeted by Advans Congo.
Alongside the development of digital services, such as USSD solutions and client mobile applications already deployed in countries like Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana, Advans remains committed to maintaining close relationships with its clients to ensure high-quality service.
In this context, Advans Congo launched its Client Relationship Center earlier this year. Based in Kinshasa and accessible via a single phone number, the center operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Its agents provide clients and prospects with information on available products, pricing, eligibility criteria, branch and mini-branch locations, and opening hours. The team is also trained to handle client complaints with the highest level of care and neutrality, committing to resolve issues promptly whenever necessary. Clients can reach the center through phone calls as well as digital channels, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and LinkedIn.
With this launch, all Advans institutions across the network are now equipped with a local client relationship center, reinforcing a shared commitment to proximity and service quality.
By expanding its territorial footprint and strengthening client engagement channels, Advans Congo further consolidates its role within microfinance international, supporting microcredit and SME financing in Africa through a balanced High Tech–High Touch approach. This strategy enables Advans to deliver inclusive, accessible financial services while fostering sustainable economic development at the local level.
