“It should be recalled that Advans Côte d’Ivoire is a financial institution whose mission is to serve populations that are underserved by traditional financial sectors, namely, vulnerable populations. By undertaking a client certification process, we are demonstrating our clear commitment to genuinely protecting our customers. Our objective at Advans Côte d’Ivoire is to improve the quality of our services, strengthen our clients’ trust, and position ourselves in the market as a responsible player with a real, positive social impact, through all the actions associated with this client certification.
Advans Côte d’Ivoire has been engaged for several years in a process aimed at improving its client protection practices. The certification process conducted by an external body is demanding and quite rigorous. It took us approximately six months, from the launch of the selection of an external audit firm, through the collection of documentation, to the on-site audit mission carried out by external auditors. These auditors met with our clients and employees and reviewed our practices and procedures. The process resulted in an initial assessment, followed by a review of indicators related to the various client protection principles, as well as an adjustment period that allowed us to address certain gaps and make improvements in order to achieve effective certification.
At the end of this improvement process, Advans Côte d’Ivoire was recognized by the external auditors as compliant with the various indicators required for certification. We were awarded the Silver level certification, which reflects our high standards in terms of effective client protection. For Advans Côte d’Ivoire as an institution, this certification represents recognition of the work carried out over many years to place the client at the heart of our approach and service offering. It demonstrates our rigor and our effective client protection through our products and services. It is truly a recognition of the work accomplished by all our teams.
For clients, it provides assurance that they are dealing with a financial institution that ensures that key client protection principles, such as transparency, product suitability, and pricing, are applied responsibly, and that their rights as clients and consumers are protected when they use our services.”
